For 2017 we wanna liven up things again, since we have been a bit quiet lately... Hibiya Amamiya-01 (Shy Blush) [V2]

Star!  First: WE NEED MORE ADMINS! Our team is a close and friendly little team, but to come up with more awesome events it's necessary to have a larger team! So, don't wait or be shy and contact us about it!!!

Hey there! Hope you're having a good 2017 so far.

I'm a pre-med student and as a result I can't volunteer my time to this group, but I can volunteer ideas!

When a group runs a contest, the biggest deterrent for me is having an uninteresting subject. I tend not to join "draw our mascot!" or "draw Rudolph the reindeer!" sort of contests because it's too out of the way for me. I would much prefer to be able to draw something for a contest that also caters to my interests.
For example, things like "draw your newest character," "draw an original character of yours that has blue hair/wings/any other defining trait," "draw your favorite character from a video game," etc. That way artists have an expanse of options to choose from, and as a result those artists will be able to do their very best due to the art being interesting and personal to them.

For prizes, if you don't have monetary/point incentive, you could give winners a special sort of spotlight/advert or could reward them with high quality art.

I also personally love fun journals and friendly polls. Some groups I'm involved in occasionally ask fun questions like "what smell is nostalgic for you?" I would love polls/journals asking questions about favorite flavors, favorite childhood memories, and best of all favorite artists! It would be so cool to be able to ping artists that you really appreciate and love and let them see your comments for them. Also it's a great way to make friends--I've met a lot of people through journals/polls like these just by responding to their comments.
